Shooting Stars Basketball Camp, established in 1992, has earned the reputation as Ohio's #1 year round youth basketball program. Our fundamental skills camps are praised by parents and players alike for the outstanding instructors, variety of activity and quality of play. A typical day includes offensive, defensive and team stations, full court games, Hot Shot Contest, one on one tournament and 3 on 3 play. In addition, all teaching is performed in a positive way which attempts to increase each player's self-confidence both on and off the court.
Chris Marciniak is one of America's most experienced and respected camp directors. During the past nineteen years as camp director, Coach Marciniak has helped develop the talent of over 42,000 players from 25 different states as well as participants from England, Japan and Canada. As a high school coach, licensed official and player, coach Marciniak provides expert skill instruction, a better understanding of the rules, and important explanations regarding basketball terminology.
Shooting Stars Camp policy has always been to enforce an equal playing time rule for all participants. Furthermore, advanced players within an age group are kept together so they can benefit from strong competition. Meanwhile, those with less experience in that same division will play together and benefit by gaining confidence as their game develops and their self-esteem improves. The overwhelming positive response marked by excitement, competition and individual improvement has made Shooting Stars Ohio's #1 youth basketball program.
